| I went on my last vacation before i have to study ricidulously hard for finals (studying should have started 2 weeks ago i think...oops). We swam in the sea, danced on the beach at night, buried brian in the sand, and built the most amazing sand castle you will ever see. I was in charge of the bridge and it reminded me of 3rd grade when we had to form companies and build bridges out of toothpicks. anyone remember that? i may have invented thispart of the memory, but i think the TNBD bridge company (mine) won. I was the accountant. Oh how things take you back. thanks to those experiences, it was one amazing bridge to go with one amazing castle. Until the spanish children came and knocked it down. | I have less than 2 months left in Spain. That is odd. I have taken up swimming these days, but i'm not exactly sure how long that will last. I've honestly never stuck with any form of exercise for more than a few months. (Never too late to change?) You know what's weird? I'm addicted to the O.C. these days. They have 2 episodes in one night on Wednesdays. I started out as such a skeptic, and now i get really irritated if my roommates talk during the show. I am in love with Salamanca and Madrid. If i ever live in Spain again, I could be really happy there. You are all in the world of finals now or will be soon....good luck! I have a whole month left until my finals. I am going to see a bullfight soon! I don't know how i feel about them yet, but i suppose i will decide through experience. Did you know that in the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, people die every year, and it is usually americans? They blame it on Hemingway.

| Hello all! I'm still recovering from the Fallas Flu (what comes from going out every night for 5 consecutive nights). But Fallas were delightful! Highlight: I saw the kind of Spain! He waved at me! I saw a few giant sculptures burn to the ground and saw more fireworks shows than anyone needs to see in a lifetime. We also rocked it out to a rfew hythmic firecracker shows that are apparently so loud you're not allowed to cover your ears- you have to open your mouth so your eardrums don't blow out (Safety regulations in Spain are a bit lacking). | | |
| Wonderful things happening in this town called Valencia. I´ve been gone for ages it seems- Belgium, Amsterdam, Paris, Cambridge. A tidbit from each country: Belgium: amazing chips, which are basically french fries, but you´re not supposed to call them that because they´re not french. Amsterdam: Redlight district- 2 words: no photos. Apparently the prostitutes can come out of their box and yell profanities at you if you happen to take a picture. Paris: sunset from the eiffel tower. Crepes. Cambridge: Formal hall, which is basically like eating in the Harry Potter movies. Punting. That has something to do with boats, not kicking. Now I´m back in Valencia and it´s already been a delicious week: discovering the Donde Vamos sandwich and going to the park with very springlike weather, sushi party and agua de valencia with the roommates, and tonight, skipping class to go to dinner theatre. | | |
